With annual sales of about CHF 8.1 billion (EUR 7.8 billion / USD 8.6 billion) in fiscal year 2021/22, the Zurich-based Barry Callebaut Group is the world’s leading manufacturer of high-quality chocolate and cocoa products – from sourcing and processing cocoa beans to producing the finest chocolates, including chocolate fillings, decorations and compounds. The Group runs more than 65 production facilities worldwide and employs a diverse and dedicated global workforce of more than 13,000 people.
The Barry Callebaut Group serves the entire food industry, from industrial food manufacturers to artisanal and professional users of chocolate, such as chocolatiers, pastry chefs, bakers, hotels, restaurants or caterers. The global brands catering to the specific needs of these Gourmet customers are Callebaut® and Cacao Barry®, Carma® and the decorations specialist Mona Lisa®.
The Barry Callebaut Group is committed to make sustainable chocolate the norm to help ensure future supplies of cocoa and improve farmer livelihoods. It supports the Cocoa Horizons Foundation in its goal to shape a sustainable cocoa and chocolate future.

Since the foundation in 1996 through the merger of Belgian-based Callebaut and French-based Cacao Barry, Barry Callebaut has provided integrated solutions to its customers.
We serve the entire food industry and are focused on two distinct customer segments:
- Global and local food manufacturers who use our chocolate and cocoa products as ingredients in their consumer products
- Artisanal and professional users of chocolate, including chocolatiers, pastry chefs and bakers as well as restaurants, hotels and caterers
Unique positioning
Barry Callebaut is a fully integrated chocolate company active throughout the entire value chain of chocolate production, able to serve its customers on a worldwide level, with consistent quality and more than 6,000 different recipes.

Our history
Since the merger of Belgian chocolate producer Callebaut and French chocolate company Cacao Barry in 1996, the Barry Callebaut Group has evolved to become a provider of integrated solutions to the entire food industry today.

Cocoa
Cocoa is the essential ingredient for chocolate and is grown around the equator in Africa, Asia and Latin America.

Board of Directors
The Board of Directors (BoD) has ultimate responsibility for the policies and management of the Barry Callebaut Group.

Executive Committee
The Executive Committee (ExCo) of the Barry Callebaut Group consists of eight functions and is headed by the Chief Executive Officer.
