The Cocoa Horizons Truck is a multipurpose mobile unit that visits cocoa farming cooperatives and communities involved in Barry Callebaut’s sustainability activities in Côte d’Ivoire. Its modern communication equipment is powered by solar panels and brings farmer training, educational services, literacy training, environmental awareness, child labor sensitization, and evening entertainment to cocoa growing communities. Villagers can also benefit from free medical consultations and receive common medicines. The truck started its journey in December 2013. As of February 4th, 2016, the Cocoa Horizons Truck has travelled 24,300 km through 174 villages, reaching 73,540 people and providing medical attention for 11,450 people.
