The Cocoa Horizons Truck is a multipurpose mobile unit that visits cocoa farming cooperatives and communities involved in Barry Callebaut’s sustainability activities in Côte d’Ivoire. Its modern communication equipment is powered by solar panels and brings farmer training, educational services, literacy training, environmental awareness, child labor sensitization, and evening entertainment to cocoa growing communities. Villagers can also benefit from free medical consultations and receive common medicines. The truck started its journey in December 2013. As of March 9th, 2016, the Cocoa Horizons Truck has travelled 27,530 km through 194 villages, reaching 80,200 people and providing medical attention for 13,140 people.
