Master Data Expert

You are expert in Data Governance which is the management of all master data rules for Barry Callebaut worldwide.

This means that you:

• will evaluate requests for new data fields or additional usage of existing fields
• will discuss and refine data structures with different stakeholders
• will develop creative solutions for basic and advanced data requirements
• will efficiently implement fields and field changes, including the necessary documentation

 You are the functional responsible for several master data related application(s). Examples are the product technical sheet, process databases in Lotus notes or the label printing application.

This means that you:

• Evaluate requests for changes to the applications ensuring worldwide consistency.
• Manage the implementation of changes together with the Information Management department, including functional design and testing.
• Ensure all relevant documentation is up-to-date.
• Develop and deliver training and  provide support on the application(s).
• Analyse all available data in order to prepare managerial reports.

You take part in master data related projects, as a project lead for projects in your area of expertise, or as a content expert in other projects.

You report to the Corporate Master Data Manager Data Governance & Applications.

• You have a master degree, as well as a first experience in process or application design.
• An outspoken interest in data management and in the food industry is essential.
• Your analytical skills, eye for detail, open mindset and result-oriented approach enable you to take the right decisions and to influence others.
• You’re a team player with excellent communication skills, stress resistant and pro-active.
• You’re able to set the right priorities under tight timelines.
• A good knowledge of Excel is a must; knowledge of SAP or Access is an extra asset.
• You’re willing to travel occasionally.
