Barry Callebaut has revamped its Bensdorp® brand. By doing so, the company wants to underscore its role in the cocoa powder market. Building on its Dutch heritage, the Bensdorp® brand has become throughout the years an internationally established value in the cocoa landscape.

Barry Callebaut will plant a cocoa tree for every registered visitor to its booth (n° 8H31), during the upcoming Food Ingredients Europe (FIE) trade fair. The FIE will take place in Frankfurt from November 19 to 21, 2013. The cocoa trees will be planted in Côte d’Ivoire, tagged with the name of the respective registered user. With this campaign Barry Callebaut aims to give every visitor at this year’s FIE the opportunity to make an individual contribution to the sustainable cultivation of cocoa in Côte d’Ivoire.
Barry Callebaut begins production in new, relocated factory in Japan
Barry Callebaut today officially announced that it has completed the move of its Japan’s chocolate factory from Amagasaki to Takasaki, as announced in June 2012. The new and larger facility, which was officially inaugurated today, offers an initial annual production capacity of 22,000 tonnes of chocolate and compound products. The total amount invested is CHF 18.5 million (JPY 2,081 million / EUR 15.4 million / USD 19.4 million).
