Barry Callebaut announces the opening of its first CHOCOLATE ACADEMY™ center in Turkey, the 16th in the company’s network of such training centers worldwide. Located in Istanbul, the CHOCOLATE ACADEMY™ center is a state-of-the-art teaching and workshop facility for culinary professionals at all levels interested in strengthening their skills in working with chocolate and learning about new techniques, trends and recipes dedicated to the Turkish market.

Callebaut® presented its premium ‘Finest Belgian Hot Chocolate’ innovation at this month’s Horeca Expo in Belgium. The complete concept includes the ‘Hot Chocolate Treasure Chest’ for presenting the products, sachets filled with real Belgian chocolate callets in different flavours, a heat-resistant Callebaut® glass and a whisk. The concept offers an indulgent, rich, creamy hot chocolate drink experience.

The Italian Chef Davide Comaschi wins the World Chocolate Masters 2013

After three-days of breath-taking competition between nineteen national Chocolate Masters, the results of the fifth World Chocolate Masters competition have been announced. At this year's world finals, organised for the fifth time by Cacao Barry®, Callebaut® and Carma®, Davide Comaschi, winner of the Italian World Chocolate Masters preselection, was selected as the "World Chocolate Master 2013" by an international jury composed of twenty-three leading chocolate professionals. In second place was Marike Van Beurden from Netherlands and in third place Deniz Karaca from Australia.
