Ebony cake mix
| Ingredients 150 g dark chocolate 75 g butter 3 egg yolks 3 egg whites 75 g sugar 120 g flour 1 sachet of baking powder Preparation Melt the dark chocolate in a bain-marie and stir in the butter until you have a smooth cream. Remove the dish from the bain-marie and beat the egg yolks into the chocolate mixture one at a time. Fold the sieved flour, the sugar and the baking powder into the mixture. Finally beat the egg whites until stiff and fold them carefully into the cake mix. |
Ivory cake mix
| Ingredients 150 g white chocolate 75 g butter 3 egg yolks 3 egg whites 75 g sugar 120 g flour 1 sachet of baking powder Preparation Follow the same preparations as for the ebony cake mix using the white chocolate instead. |
Finishing
Pre-heat the oven to 175°C. Butter two baking tins and pour in alternating layers of ivory and dark cake mix without stirring. Bake these cakes for 35 minutes.
